Gator-Done

One of my favorite Fuzors (I know I know, all the Fuzors are my 'favorite') was Terragator, I thought he had one of the most interesting, not to mention terrifying combinations of animals. I mean seriously, can you imagine the damage a gator protected by a giant armored shell could do if they occurred naturally in the wild? Of course I always had an issue with the fact that he was so tiny, so to make myself feel better I've digibashed a vehicle version of him onto deluxe Cybertron Defense Hotshot. It's a surprisingly accurate mold for him, the only thing I think would make it perfect is a row of spikes along the middle in vehicle mode.

Generations Silverbolt

I was a little torn turning Silverbolt into a vehicle because I love his Fuzor form so much-but when push comes to shove I think the Thunderwing mold works best for him. I'm sad the mold isn't a little bigger (I've always thought he should have been a Voyager), but as far as looks I think he works quite nicely.

Shadow in the Sky

Though I've admitted that Torca is my overall favorite Fuzor from Beast Wars, SkyShadow comes in at a razor thin second. I've always loved the design, the combination of beasts, and the dark scheming traitor his bio describes him as. It really makes him a great overall character, and I kind of wish there had been some fiction that focused on him. Clearly someone at Hasbro was a fan as well seeing as how his color scheme pops up on Powerglide in the Wal-Mart "Ultimate Gift Set"! He's the second Fuzor to see a bot/vehicle mode after Quickstrike, and I certainly hope the trend continues!



Anywho, I really liked the way he turned out in that set, and noticed that SkyShadow's colors worked just as well on the Ultra sized Powerglide from Generations. Works for me, because I wanted him to be an aerial rival for Torca and close to his size and bulk.

Nocturnal bashin'

Even though Noctorro was never my favorite Fuzor, I always had a soft spot for the guy. When I started digibashing Fuzors into generations robot bodies, I couldn't think of anyone better suited than the Tracks mold. The overall build, the wings, too perfect!

Classics Aquasting

Keeping the Fuzors updates rolling, next on the list was Aquasting/Injector. One of the bigger of the Fuzors, I thought the Seaspray mold with the proper colors would look really neat done up in the Aquasting colorscheme.
Bot mode! What I'm enjoying most about this is that it's a simple repaint, no remolding needed to make this mold scream Aquasting.

More to come, I have every intention of tackling every one of these beauties!

The above quote kicked into overdrive what was for awhile just a passing musing in my head that the Beast Wars Fuzors to be made into classics vehicles.
Not to say this thought is anything new, considering we've already seen Quickstrike pop up in the DOTM line as DarkSteel and SkyShadow in the somewhat under the radar DOTM Powerglide repaint, but now I can't stop digibashing!
First and foremost, my favorite of the Fuzors-Torca!

I've always had a soft spot for these mixed mode Beasties. I was was not a fan of the first season of Beast Wars at all, and only tolerated it towards the end. It was the back of the box previews of the Fuzors and later glimpses of Silverbolt and Quickstrike for the show that really turned me around and made me want to give the show a chance. Despite being thoroughly disgusted by Quickstrike being made into an idiotic cowboy of the flimsiest kind, it didn't keep me from loving the toy. When I saw pics of the upcoming Fuzors, I freaked when I saw Torca-that whale-a-phant would be mine!
Beast Wars has come and gone, but I think the brilliance of the Fuzors' basic designs should be preserved and applied to the current lines. I don't care if you want to call them pre-BW bodies or "Classics" whatever, but these guys were made to be fused (no pun intended) with some Classics molds.
